    Hey Ilga,

Welcome back to planDisney! You have a magical vacation planned for this summer - how exciting! I love a summer Walt Disney World Resort visit; it’s the best time of year to take full advantage of your resort pool and outdoor activities! Your question about the Quick-Service Dining Plan is a good one, so let’s jump in and get it answered.

Disney Dining Plans are such a great option for guests who want to feel like they’re on a more inclusive vacation. I’m glad you’re considering it. I’m happy to report that while “Dining Plan” is the official terminology, sometimes it is referred to colloquially as a “meal plan,” so you are on the right track and there is no difference. The Quick-Service Plan is great for guests who will spend more time on the go and won’t have the time for a daily table service meal during their stay. It also provides flexibility as you will not need to make reservations to use the plan.

There are quick-service locations throughout the Disney Parks, Resort Hotels and Disney Springs that accept the Dining Plan. A few of my personal favorites inside the theme parks are Columbia Harbor House in Magic Kingdom Park, Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom Park, and La Cantina de San Angel in EPCOT. There are over 100 quick-service dining options to choose from and no matter which location you choose, you’ll enjoy a quick meal using your Dining Plan and can get back to your park day. In addition to 2 quick-service meals and 1 snack or non-alcoholic beverage per resort night, you will also get 1 resort-refillable mug per person with complimentary refills. While the resort mugs can only be refilled at Disney Resorts (and not the parks or Disney Springs), they’re awesome for slow resort mornings, resort days, or evening beverages after your park day concludes.

To take a cue from Hercules, I hope that I was able to help you “Go the Distance” with the Quick-Service Dining Plan. Have the best time, and don’t hesitate to come back if you need more planning help! See ya real soon!

    Magically yours,
    Sakinah
