Hi Dawn and welcome to planDisney.
Wow! I'm so happy to hear that you'll be visiting
Walt Disney World in 2026! A lot has changed over the past 10 years but, I'm happy to report that Walt Disney World remains "The Most Magical Place on Earth." You must be so excited!
The Walt Disney World website and
My Disney Experience App are bursting with information if you need to refresh your memory/update your previous knowledge. Our very own
planDisney Video Library also contains lots of great advice and tips.
Going back to your question, you should be able to link your Resort Reservation in the My Disney Experience App as soon as you have booked.
To do this, you need to follow these steps:-
1/ Open the My Disney Experience App and click on the "≡" (hamburger) symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the home screen.
2/ Scroll down to Hotel Reservations and click on "Link to Account" underneath where it says "Missing a reservation?"
3/ Click on "Type ID" and enter your Confirmation Number and Last Name On Reservation in the Resort Reservation section.
You should be able to find your Confirmation Number (unique Disney reference) on your booking confirmation. If you cannot locate this, you will need to contact the Company who you have made your booking with to request it. When contacting them be sure to emphasise that you are looking for the Confirmation Number needed in order to link your booking in the My Disney Experience App.
I hope that this information has been of help, Dawn. If we can be of any further assistance, once you have managed to link your booking in the My Disney Experience App, please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
