Hi there Jasmine and "Season's Screamings" to you!
We love Jack Skellington and everything from
Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, it really gets us into the Halloween spirit!
On select nights at Disneyland Park during
Halloween Time, you can catch the
Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular that is hosted by "Master of Scare-omonies" Jack Skellington and his dog Zero! The show is fantastic, and features a great soundtrack of Halloween-inspired songs and so many of our favorite Disney villains. You can check the
entertainment schedule to see the dates and times it will take place.
The classic Haunted Mansion attraction has been decorated by the Pumpkin King Jack Skellington, and has been transformed into
Haunted Mansion Holiday for a limited time! At the current time, Haunted Mansion Holiday is available only via a
virtual queue. Guests can join the virtual queue via the
Disneyland app no more than once per day, and there are 2 opportunities to join the queue. The first is at 7:00 AM, and Guests must have a valid theme park ticket and
theme park reservation for Disneyland Park. The second opportunity is at 12:00 PM (Noon), and Guests inside Disney California Adventure Park with a
Park Hopper ticket or Guests inside Disneyland Park can request to join the virtual queue.
I just returned from a trip to the "Happiest Place on Earth," and while I didn't see Jack Skellington or Sally out meeting greets during our visit, you never know when he will appear, especially when Halloween Time begins later this month. My favorite place to check for character meet and greet opportunities is in the Disneyland app. Open up your app, and tap the location icon in the bottom navigation bar. You can then filter the top center menu to "Characters," and you'll be able to check the Mickey icons to see what characters are currently greeting Guests. I recommend looking around New Orleans Square for Jack Skellington!
There are also so many great Halloween merchandise items available, and many are inspired by
Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas! My favorite stores to browse for souvenirs include the
World of Disney store in the Downtown Disney District, Emporium in Disneyland Park, and Julius Katz & Sons in Disney California Adventure Park. I recommend checking those first, and you can always ask a helpful Cast Member for assistance.
I hope these suggestions are helpful for your upcoming trip, Jasmine! I'm wishing you and your family a very spooktacular visit, and please come back and ask any other questions we can help with.
Have a magical day!
Melissa
