Hi I believe we have been allocated second sitting for our dining, as we have a 1 year old with us, was wondering if we would be able to change this? and how we go about it.

    Hi, Farrah!

You will discover that most guests on board Disney ships are cruising with children...and many with small children or babies.  When you arrive on board (or even at the terminal depending upon your arrival time), you can check with Guest Services to see if you can switch dinner seating times.  If an earlier seating is not available, there are a few options for you:

    1. Feed your little one either in your stateroom (room service), on deck (counter service) or at the casual restaurant for dinner; enjoy the live show together as a family; and then, reserve nursery time for an adult-only dinner and time afterward for the adults to enjoy the bars, clubs or lounges.
    2. Bring your baby with you to your regular dining rotation and order his/her food to enjoy while you have appetizers or salads. Then, one of you can check your baby into the nursery (with prior reservations) while you finish your meal. Just remember to pack a bag complete with PJs and those necessary nighttime soothers! There are beds in the nursery available so that the little ones can go night-night while Mom and Dad enjoy their evening alone.
I hope this has helped you plan and give you some insight into how things seem to work out while on board Disney cruises. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
