Hi,I am from Australia and I am planning our first time trip to DL. When is the best and quietest time to visit with minimal ride closures? And which DL hotel is the best to stay at with two little ones under 10. Thanks so much.

    Hi there Natalie,

My favorite times to visit Disneyland in California are in early to mid January, and really any time prior to President's weekend, AND in the Fall in early November.  November is a great time because the Thanksgiving crowds have not yet hit and the parks area already decorated for the Holidays!  "it's a small world" goes down in October for the Holiday overlay to be setup, but opens back up the second week of November!

And for hotels, I most definitely recommend the newly renovated, AAA 4-Diamond, Disneyland Hotel for families with little ones!  The theming is classic Disney with magical touches everywhere you look!  Kids will enjoy hanging at the interactive, immersive pool and water play area, and there's even a movie under the stars in the evening!

The rooms are upscale with subtle touches of Disney Magic, including a headboard that illuminates with fireworks while playing a lullaby!  To top it all off, imagine staying right in the middle of the Magic!  The Disneyland Hotel is located steps away from Downtown Disney and the Disneyland Monorail station which provides nonstop service to Tomorrowland!

Please let me know if I can answer any additional questions to assist in the planning of this magical Disneyland vacation! I love receiving follow up questions here at the panel!

    Best Wishes,
