Hi, I would like to be able to bring my 26 oz Yeti into the parks to keep ice water in since I’m pregnant, is this allowed?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sarah!

First and foremost: congratulations! How wonderfully exciting that you are expecting a mini-Mouseketeer! I’m wishing you a healthy pregnancy and the most magical adventure with your sweet little one.

Also, a great big YAY because your week is only one week away! You have so much to celebrate, and #NowMoreThanEver it's an amazing time for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, with so many new experiences and summer fun to be had.

Sarah, I’m happy to confirm that you’ll be able to bring your insulated water bottle or cup into the Walt Disney World theme parks. I always bring my 32 oz HydroFlask with me and have no trouble with security. I do recommend taking a look at the Park Rules – two things to note are that glass containers are not permitted, and neither is loose ice in coolers. Loose ice in ice water is absolutely fine.

Those insulated water bottles are a great idea in the Florida heat, and I’m happy to hear you’re thinking about hydration, which is extra important in the summer months and during pregnancy. You’ll be able to stop at any Counter Service restaurant and request complimentary cups of ice water to fill your bottle. There are also drinking fountains located outside most restrooms. The Disney Parks Blog also recently shared their favorite refreshing treats for beating the heat - yum!

If, like me, you like to drink your icy cold water through a straw, please note that you’ll find paper straws at most dining locations at Disney due to The Walt Disney Company’s commitment to reducing single-use plastics. I recommend bringing your own reusable straw in a case with a bottle brush and a small dish soap so you can clean and reuse the straw throughout your stay.

My friend and fellow Panelist Priscila shared some great tips for getting out of the heat and getting some rest when pregnant at Disney. In addition to her excellent suggestions, I’ll add my very favorite way to beat the heat: picking up a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle and enjoying it while watching the birds sing words and the flowers croon in Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room

    Enjoy every minute, Sarah!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
