Hi there, Megan!
Thanks so much for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm glad you are keeping up with the news surrounding the Disney Parks to know that there have been some new guidelines set forth for strollers at the Disneyland Resort.
Starting May 1, 2019,
strollers may not be more than 31" in width and 52" in length from the stroller's furthest points. This will be monitored at the security checkpoint areas, and Cast Members will have measuring devices if necessary. I would hate to see you miss out on having a magical experience if your stroller got turned away at the security checkpoint. If your stroller is that close, it might be better to consider another option, or you can
conveniently rent a stroller from the parks to use each day. Disneyland Resort will also soon even be offering double strollers as a rental option! These guidelines have been put in place for the ease of navigation in the parks as they welcome more Guests to enjoy the Happiest Place on Earth.
Part of the excitement surrounding the parks in the upcoming months is the anticipation of
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opening May 31, 2019. This is going to be one of the largest additions to the Disneyland Resort in its history. With never-before-seen technology, attractions, and experiences, it's going to offer out-of-this-world fun for the whole family. I also can't wait to try some of the amazing food items that can only be found in this land.
I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions before you leave for your magical vacation.
