Hello Teresa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
On the night's when
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party allows festive cheer to take over Magic Kingdom, Guests not participating in the Special Event are unable to partake in the event.
Cast Members do not vacate Magic Kingdom of Guests not participating in Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party all at once, but instead enact a series of protocols that guide Guests to the exits, while restricting access to experiences once 7:00pm rolls around.
When Guests arrive at the Main Gates of Magic Kingdom or go to a special kiosk set up by Cast Members within the Theme Park for admission to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, they are provided a wristband to wear during the event. Once the bell tolls 7:00pm, Cast Members begin checking Guests for
Special Event wristbands for entrance at attractions and perform a reverse "rope drop".
Making their way from the far ends of Magic Kingdom, Cast Members walk through the Theme Park informing Guests without wristbands that they will be unable to access areas beyond the makeshift barrier they form. They then walk slowly through the Theme Park corralling non-participating Guests to the exits while leaving Guests with Special Event tickets free to start the party.
Be sure to say "Hi" to Santa and all his Disney friends as they pass by during the
Once Upon a Christmastime Parade with a cup of hot cocoa. It is an unforgettable experience.
Have a Very Merry Visit!
