Hey there, Samantha! Welcome back to planDisney and Welcome Home, my DVC neighbor! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with such a great holiday planning question. I love chatting with a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member!
Samantha, a magical two-week holiday at two fabulous Disney Resorts in The Most Magical Place on Earth sounds like an absolute dream. My family and I tend to do a split stay with an EPCOT Resort Area Resort and a Magic Kingdom Resort Area Resort almost every time we visit
Walt Disney World Resort. Being within walking distance of three out of the four theme parks during your stay just makes it so easy to "rope drop" in the morning, take a midday break and then pop into the park for dinner and fireworks at the end of the best Disney day. Now, let's tie up your loose planning ends so you can sit back, relax and start your pixie-dusted countdown!
Currently, Bell Services offers split-stay luggage transfers between two
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels, and unfortunately, that does not include the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. But Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" You have a few transportation options for you and your luggage to start the second leg of your magical holiday at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
If you want to travel in true Disney style, I recommend using the
Minnie Van Service! To request a ride in one of these adorable Vans, do so through the Lyft app to get whisked away to your next Disney destination. You can also use a rideshare service, such as Uber. Whatever your preference is,
Jane - planDisney's UK-based panelist - recommends downloading the rideshare apps while you are still on your side of the pond. If you have any trouble at all, someone at the front desk would be more than happy to help you. While Minnie Vans and rideshare services do require a fee, I always find it to be very reasonable to travel around Walt Disney World Resort.
Samantha, did you hear that Top of the World Lounge has reopened with a new villainous theme and a new name,
Top of the World Lounge - A Villains Lair?! This lounge sits atop Bay Lake Tower, on the 16th floor, and is my favorite place to grab a cocktail and take in the best views of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom Park. Just check in at the Top of the World Lounge desk in the lobby of Bay Lake Tower and be sure to have your
digital DVC Membership Card and photo ID with you. Have a spelltacular time!
While this might not have been the answer you were looking for, Samantha, I hope it was at least helpful! Please stop by any time with any questions you may have along your planning journey. You've got a friend in planDisney!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
