Hi! Heading to WDW for SWW in 2013. Will be my boys' (8&5) first SWW experience. When is time best to visit crowd-wise. Thinking 1st weekend will be busy, as well as Memorial Day weekend and last weekend. What are your thoughts? What's a MUST DO

    Hi Amanda!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

With regards to Star Wars Weekends, it's been my experience that the first two weekends are generally more crowded than the last ones.  That's mostly because of the celebrity autographs and the limited edition merchandise.  A lot of the limited edition merchandise is actually sold out during the first weekend.  If you are interested in that then definitely skip the first two weekends in my opinion.

I absolutely love the Hyperspace Hoopla.  It should not be missed.  The other "must see" is the afternoon parade with all of the Star Wars characters.  It is a real treat.  After that, I suggest hitting the special talks that interest you and of course the meet and greet with special Star Wars characters.  Darth Vader's meet and greet is almost always crowded.  Whatever you do, be sure to be at the park at least 45 minutes before the schedule opening.  You don't want to miss the "pre-show" that is put on before Disney's Hollywood Studios opens on Star Wars Weekends.  It's a lot of fun to watch!

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
