    Hi-Going to WDW for the first time in May with our 5yo daughter. We have a dinner reservation at Chef Mickey for the three of us but now we have 2 adults and 2 children joining us & CM is booked. What are the chances of availability on the day of to a

    Hi Tara,

    You can't guarantee that there will be availability for walk-up guests on the day of your reservation at Chef Mickey's so it would be best to call Disney Dining back periodically to see if a table for seven has opened up at the restaurant.  Meanwhile, would your friends be willing to enjoy one of the Contemporary's other restaurants?  For instance, they could book a reservation at the Wave on the first floor of the Contemporary at the same time you are dining at Chef Mickey's.  If they have their heart set on a character meal, they could dine at 'Ohana's at Disney's Polynesian Resort, just a short monorail ride away from the Contemporary. 

    The key, if you want to dine together, is to touch base with the cast members at the Disney Dining Line (407) WDW-DINE frequently until you can find a table for seven.  Sending pixie dust your way so that one becomes available!
