Hi there, Carrie!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! With your Disney Cruise Line vacation so soon, I know you are busy crossing things off your “to do list” and busy packing for your
Alaskan adventure! I am so excited for you; you have so much to look forward to, both onboard and at your incredible port of call! Not too many more sleeps before you’ll be off on an adventure you won’t soon forget!
My family always has high aspirations to participate in the formal night, and while it is a lot of fun, sometimes we don’t get as fancy as we initially planned to! You will find other Guests in a variety of dress on Formal Night – as well as all the other nights -- and I do not think you will feel incredibly out of place if you choose to not participate! Formal Night usually has the Captain's Reception in the atrium before each dinner seating where you have the opportunity to meet the Ship’s Officers as well as get photos taken by the
onboard photographers. I think if you decide to forgo the super formal wear and opt for a dressier than cruise casual look then I think you will feel perfectly comfortable! Packing tip -- if you are planning on a dinner at
Palo, wear the same clothes for both Palo night AND Formal Night!
Carrie, I wish you a
WONDERful vacation with many magical memories made!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
