I want to do a high school graduation trip with me and friends to WDW this summer. At time of trip, one friend and I will be 17 and the other two will be 18 and 19. Will my parents have to come with us for hotel check in, or do 18/19 count as adult?

Well, hello there, Madelyn! Welcome to planDisney. Thank you so much for stopping by with your question!

Planning a high school graduation trip to the Walt Disney World Resort sounds like a dream come true for me. In fact, I'm in the process of planning a college graduation trip with my best friends at this time, so I'm happy that I get to help you out today!

Madelyn, I'm happy to let you know that any Guest who's over 18 years of age is considered to be an adult at the Walt Disney World Resort. Assuming that you'll all be staying at the same Disney Resorts Collection hotel room together, you shouldn't run into any problems at check-in. What you need to do is pretty simple! Just make sure that either one of your adult friends is listed as the main adult within the reservation, and you'll be good to go.

Aside from that, did you know that you don't even need to stop by the Front Desk at your Resort hotel in order to check-in? Actually, you'll be able to complete the entire process through the My Disney Experience mobile app before you even set foot on Disney property. You will only need to link your reservation to your Disney account and complete the pre-arrival check-in form within the app, and violá! Just like magic, you'll receive a notification on your smartphone as soon as your room is ready. Once you have a room number, you'll be able to unlock your door with a MagicBand or with the Digital Key within the app itself

Congratulations, Madelyn. As a Class of 2022 planDisney panelist, I can tell you that this is a very special year to do very special things! If you have any other questions, you know where to find us!

    Cheers,

    Ana Paula
