Hiya, Kristen, and welcome to planDisney! It looks like your cheer group is heading down for the National High School Cheerleading Championship next month; what an exciting accomplishment and opportunity for your squad to compete at the
ESPN World Wide of Sports Complex! As a cheer mom myself, my daughter recently had the same opportunity and our visit was filled with magic, memories, and lots of spirited fun!
2024 has brought many exciting changes to the Walt Disney World Resort, including removing the requirement for theme park reservations for certain ticket types and reinstating all-day park hopping! Because your tickets are
group tickets for a sports event, they will still require theme park reservations during your stay. The good news is that, as of this morning, when I checked the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar, all four theme parks had availability for the entire month of February, so you should be good to go on making your selections at this time! Availability can always change, of course, so I would recommend making your reservations as soon as you are ready.
To
make your park reservations, be sure you have linked your ticket numbers (provided by Varsity) to your My Disney Experience account and assigned each ticket to a Guest on your Friends and Family list. Once your tickets are linked, you can select the date and theme park you would like to reserve online or through the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
Kristen, even with the theme park reservation requirement, if you have the
Park Hopper option on your tickets, you will be able to enjoy all-day park hopping privileges with no time restrictions! So once you have tapped into your first, reserved park for the day, you are free to move about the other parks as you wish! This will help you maximize the magic of your time in the parks in between competing and practicing!
I hope you and your cheer group have a great time together making memories, hitting zero, and discovering all the magic that is waiting for you!
Come back anytime if we can help again!
Cheers,
Alison
