We have a high school cheer group coming to compete in mid February 2023. We have reservations at the Diamond Horseshoe. We are trying to financially plan for the trip and would like to know the current tax rate and gratuity percentage.

Welcome to planDisney, Tracey! How exciting that you've got a big high school cheer group planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort next month. The Diamond Horseshoe is such a great restaurant for a big group! There are plenty of big tables and the classic American Thanksgiving dinner fare will be a hit with everyone you're traveling with. The meal is served family-style and is an all-you-care-to-enjoy feast, so it's sure to satisfy even the hungriest athlete in your group!

Tracey, Walt Disney World Resort is quite large and spans two counties, which means that the tax rate can vary between 6.5% and 7.5%. The Diamond Horseshoe is at Magic Kingdom Park, which is in an area that has a tax rate of 6.5% at restaurants. As for tipping your server, since you are traveling with a party greater than six your bill will also have an automatic 18% gratuity. You do not have to leave anything else above that amount, but you are more than welcome to in the case of exceptional service. Hopefully, this information helps you plan your budget in advance!

    Have a magical day, Tracey!
