Oh Debra! Your daughter is heading to Walt Disney World at just about the same age as I did for the first time, and let me tell you, it brought me so much joy I ended up applying for the Disney College Program!
I have great tips for packing, but first thing's first... the Advanced Dining Reservations to meet your daughter's favorite Hundred-Acre Wood friends. Check out
The Crystal Palace, located at Magic Kingdom. Although characters are subject to change, you'll likely have the opportunity to meet and greet Winnie the Pooh but Advanced Dining Reservations are essential.
In terms of packing for your trip, I can offer some suggestions:
- backpack for the Parks
- clear plastic pencil pouch for important documents, itinerary, boarding passes, Times Guides
- ponchos
- autograph book or photo mat to obtain autographs; don't forget a sharpie!
- camera supplies
- over the door shoe organizer for organizing cosmetics and small items; the clear pockets come in very handy!
- collapsible laundry basket for your Resort Hotel room
- moleskin and blister stick; worn in shoes are essential.
- suntan lotion
If we are staying a week, we typically have groceries delivered to our room from WeGoShop.com or GardenGrocer.com. Doing so saves quite a bit of money over the cost of Park snacks, and we can grab fresh fruit, yogurt or granola for breakfast right from our room.
I hope my tips were helpful, Debra, and please feel free to visit me again with other questions!
