Hi,first time planning for Disneyland .When can I start booking for 2019? Will the prices be up soon? We will be staying at one of the resorts.Sooo excited to be planning this trip. Will be traveling in September 2019,is this a good time? thanks,MOMS

    Hello, Janice!

I’m glad to hear you’ll be traveling to the Happiest Place on Earth next year. There is nothing quite as special as walking in Walt Disney’s footsteps in his original theme park here on the West Coast, and early fall is a wonderful time to visit! The weather in mid-September will be warm but not rainy, and summertime crowds will have subsided since most schools are back in session.

As of now, you may only book Disneyland Resort vacation packages and hotel stays for dates through the end of this year—December 2018—online at Disneyland.com or by calling (714) 520-5060. Dates for visits in the following calendar year are usually released for booking in the summer, so check back very soon if you plan to travel in 2019. I expect reservations for next year to become available within the coming month.

May I make a recommendation for your visit? Consider booking the Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps Guided Tour, which offers a unique, behind-the-scenes look at Disneyland Park. I experienced it recently and loved every moment. Guests learn what inspired Walt Disney to create Disneyland Park and experience classic attractions before enjoying a yummy meal that is included in the cost of the tour. A collectible pin and a personalized button are also included, and you’ll even get to see a part of the theme park unavailable to most Guests. I was able to tour Walt Disney’s private apartment that’s located above the Disneyland Fire Department on Main Street, U.S.A. and it was one of the most magical moments I’ve experienced in the theme parks!

I hope this helps, Janice. Please write back with any other pixie-dusted planning questions you may have!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
