Hello, Joyce! I'm so glad you are visiting Walt Disney World in August. I know you've got to be getting so excited.
Joyce, I think you'll be happy to know that you can still use Starbucks gift cards at the Starbucks locations throughout the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks and at
Disney Springs. I actually don't drink coffee and am not a huge Starbucks fan but for some reason always find myself with Starbucks gift cards and save them just for this. I like to buy sodas, bottled water and treats with mine while I am on vacation. As I said, I'm not super familiar with Starbucks since I don't frequent it except at Walt Disney World, but I thought I should mention that while you can use your gift cards, you are only able to redeem your rewards points at the Disney Springs location, not at the ones located within the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
If you happen to be visiting
Disney's Hollywood Studios and feel the urge to stop into the Starbucks location at
The Trolley Car Cafe, I hope you'll try one of my all-time favorite sweet treats at Walt Disney World - the carrot cake cookie. This is the quintessential Disney's Hollywood Studios treat. It's been around for as long as I can remember. It's changed locations over the years and the recipe has been tweaked a few times but it is still an amazing little snack. The carrot cake cookie is two thick pieces of moist carrot cake with specks of golden raisins scattered throughout sandwiched together by a sweetened cream cheese frosting. The cookie itself is huge and definitely big enough to share with 2 or 3 people.
August can get pretty hot in central Florida so don't forget to stay hydrated. You can ask for a free cup of ice water at any quick-service dining locations including Starbucks at Walt Disney World. If my family is indulging in a Starbucks treat or beverage, I always like them to add on one of their largest cups of ice water for me to sip on. They are always so accommodating with the larger sizes making it my favorite place to swing in and grab ice water. Most other places at Walt Disney World will only give you a small cup, which is totally fine because it's free and you can get multiple cups but ordering one at Starbucks is a lot less hassle.
Joyce, I hope you treat yourself to something amazing with your Starbucks gift cards while on vacation. If you have any other questions before your trip, please stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
