Hey there, Stephanie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question.
I share your commitment to reducing single-use plastic waste, and my family always brings our refillable water bottles when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort. I was so happy to read about
Disney’s plans to cut back on single-use plastics in their parks and resorts, and am thrilled to see new water bottle refill stations popping up with new attractions and refurbishments. We’re making Wall-E and Eve proud!
To my knowledge, there is not a water bottle refill station at
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. However, in the
World Premiere Food Court (along with other resort Quick Service locations), you’ll be able to get water from the fountain soda dispenser. I like to fill our insulated water bottles with ice from the soda machine first and then use the “Water” tap (it’s usually a small switch attached to a flavored soda option) to fill each one. There may also be a water dispenser in the drink area – definitely take a look around, and feel free to ask a Cast Member.
When you’re in the theme parks, you can request free ice water at any Quick-Service dining location; there is usually a water dispenser on a counter at each location. There are water fountains located throughout the parks – you’ll almost always find one outside a restroom area.
I’ve spotted water bottle refill stations in a few different theme park locations, including in
Na’vi River Journey’s queue (
Avatar Flight of Passage’s too), in
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café at Magic Kingdom Park, and outside the restrooms near Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ entrance. They seem to be added all the time, so you might also want to do an internet search to see where visitors are spotting them!
(Earth-friendly packing tip: I always bring a little case with metal straws and a straw brush, as I don't love the texture of paper straws.)
Stephanie, thank you for your efforts to care for our planet. I love
reading about the Disney Conservation Fund’s efforts to save species around the world in the Disney Parks Blog – it’s a great big beautiful tomorrow when we all do our part!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
