Hiya Kerry,
Welcome to planDisney! As a mom, I know how important it is to plan to ensure that everyone has the best day ever. This includes selecting activities that everyone will enjoy, scheduling sufficient breaks for naptimes, and planning meals. The good news is that the Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort are also as committed to ensuring that you and your family all have a magical vacation as you are.
Kerry, at all dining locations, including those at the
Contemporary Resort, you can ask a Cast Member to speak with a chef or Manager about your children's
dietary needs. The chef can help you to customize dining options within the current menu (where they can) and even provide alternatives if they can. I would like to note that while some requests for quick service locations can be made through the My Disney Experience mobile app's
Mobile Ordering feature, I highly recommend ordering in person so that you can speak directly with a Cast Member. Mobile ordering doesn't always give you as many customization options as you would get if you inquired in person. Another option is to reach out to a Cast Member in the
Special Diets team to see if they can provide any specific accommodations/recommendations in advance of your arrival. They typically specialize in food allergies, intolerances, and other special diets, but I've found them to be an invaluable resource.
One last thing, Kerry, my toddler is also a picky eater, so I wanted to share one other option with you in case you find it helpful. We like to order some items using
grocery delivery that we know our daughter will eat reliably, so that when we cannot find something, at least we have something she will. These backup snacks have really saved us a time or two, so it may be something you want to consider. I hope this was helpful; please don't hesitate to come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
