Hi Laura!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, fellow Texan! I am so excited to hEAR that you have another Disney Cruise Line vacation planned! Even though it’s been a few years since you last sailed with Captain Mickey, you will be happy to know that you can expect the same, if not better, level of comfort and service that you received then! And experiencing a new ship will be such a treat for you to see the differences between the different sized ships! Make sure you have the
Navigator app downloaded prior to your voyage so that you have the deck plan handy as well as other helpful information during your time at sea.
In your stateroom, you will find that your stateroom bed is elevated about 12” off the ground. My family usually travels with some large expandable suitcases and have no problem sliding them underneath the bed in the stateroom for storage. A couple things that I always recommend putting in your luggage include clothespins, Ziploc bags, a small bottle of dish soap and a couple trash bags. I always find uses for these items and am always thankful that I remember to bring them with me!
A few weeks before your voyage begins, you will receive your travel booklet and luggage tags in the mail. I recommend waiting to affix them to your checked luggage pieces until you are headed to the port for embarkation to minimize the risk of them getting accidentally damaged or misplaced! Remember to pack a carry-on bag with any necessities (including a swimsuit for that first ride down the
AquaDuck!) you may need before your luggage magically appears outside your stateroom!
As you continue planning, please come back with any other questions you may have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
