Hello again, Francine! Welcome back to planDisney. It's wonderful to SEA you again.
I'm so excited that you are thinking about planning a
Very Merrytime voyage! Celebrating the holidays onboard the Disney Cruise Line makes for a very memorable occasion, filled with festive entertainment, beautiful decor, and photo opportunities throughout the ship and with your favorite Disney Characters dressed in their winter best.
Francine, the magic onboard is not limited to sailing parties with children! The merry-making is for everyone! Every sailing onboard Disney Cruise Line has a good percentage of adult travelers that are sailing without children. I'm in the midst of planning an adults-only sailing and I'm so excited about it. I understand that you may feel guilty about traveling without children, but believe me when I say that it is more than okay to enjoy a Disney vacation (or any vacation really) without children in tow. I love the chance to relax and indulge my inner child on a Disney Cruise and there is just more time for that on an adult-only voyage.
I recommend that you make a reservation to enjoy an adult-exclusive dining option onboard (
Palo is a favorite of mine). You may also choose to celebrate your holiday with some time at the
Senses Spa and Salon. Finally, don't miss the adults-only
Quiet Cove for extra-cushy lounge chairs and a pool that is a bit removed from the family areas on the upper decks. I'm relaxed just thinking about it!
If you have more questions as your plans start to come together, please cruise our way again! The planDisney podcast has an episode (
episode three) devoted to celebrating the holidays at Disney destinations and I chat a bit about what there is to enjoy on a Very Merrytime sailing. I hope you find it informative!
Have a magical day,
Adrianna
