Hi Sarah! Welcome to planDisney!
Many people think that Walt Disney World Resort is just for kids, but they could not be more wrong! I actually have a soft spot for adults-only trips to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Without a doubt, my favorite park to visit when traveling without kids is
EPCOT! The EPCOT World Showcase is home to representations of 11 different countries, each with food, drink and shopping offerings unique to that particular area of the world. As far as hidden gems, you really shouldn't miss
La Cava del Tequila, located in the Mexico pavilion. I like to start my food-filled excursion with a Blood Orange Margarita! The impressive
La Cava Experience, a tequila tasting with a certified Tequila Ambassador is an incredible add-on to celebrate your adults-only outing!
As we snack our way around the World Showcase, we like to treat ourselves to something sweet at
Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie in the France pavilion. You can always stop here with kids, too, but this way, the only sugar rush you have to deal with is your own!
Sarah, is there anything more magical than a quiet, relaxing day by the pool? My husband and I love to unwind at some of the quieter pools at Walt Disney World Resorts Collection Hotels, like the Beau Soleil Pool at
Disney's Riviera Resort.
Finally, be adventurous with your dining reservations! We usually skip some of the fine dining restaurants when our kids are present, so this is our time to have a peaceful, delicious meal on our own. Check out
California Grill,
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera and
The Hollywood Brown Derby. Since we've already established that I like to partake in the occasional adult drink, I'd suggest trying out the Dessert Wine Flight after your meal at The Hollywood Brown Derby!
I hope you're able to check out some of my kid-free recommendations on your trip to Walt Disney World Resort!
Ta ta for now,
Ashley
