Hello Melissa,
As the current
UK-based Panelist here at planDisney, it really is always an extra delight to welcome a fellow Guest from the United Kingdom, who like me, also visits the wonder of Walt Disney World Resort from across the other side of the Atlantic ocean!
In yEARs past when I've visited Walt Disney World Resort with family members who have a disability, I've always been super happy with all the various accommodations, and thoughtfulness from Cast Members provided for
Guests with Disabilities. Melissa, I feel sure you'll find the most magical place on earth to be inclusive of the needs of each and every Mouseketeer in your dEAR family!
Melissa, at present the
Walt Disney Travel Company doesn't yet provide the utility for Guests from the United Kingdom to pre-register via live video chat for the Disability Access Service (DAS).
However not to worry! Upon arrival at your 1st Disney Theme Park, you will be able to stop by
Guest Relations to discuss your particular needs concerning the Disability Access Service (DAS) with a helpful Cast Member. If appropriate for your needs, you'll be able to register for the Disability Access Service (DAS) at Guest Relations, plus I'm happy to share that any DAS issued will last for up to a whole 60-days!
For your added information, I thought that you may find this
Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities link to be a useful planning resource for your family.
I sincerely hope that I've been able to provide some pixie-dusted assistance for you today Melissa. And now, all that remains is for me to wish you an extra magical upcoming stay in just a few short days time at Walt Disney World Resort.
Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
