Hi, Could you explain how the Magic Bands work please? It would truly help with our upcoming trip in December. Cheers

    Hi, Kristeen!

Thanks for your question! MagicBands are part of the MyMagic+ collection of tools which enable Guests to plan and customize their Disney Parks vacation experiences in entirely new ways, starting right from the comfort of home prior to their arrival. MagicBands essentially serve as your resort room key, theme park ticket, access to FastPass+ selections, optional payment method (for dining and merchandise) and even PhotoPass card all rolled together into one convenient, easy-to-use wristband.

Currently, Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels at Walt Disney World are eligible to participate in testing this new technology. If you have more specific questions related to your upcoming trip next month, please feel free to write me back. I would be happy to assist you further!

In the meantime, if you haven't already done so, be sure to set up your My Disney Experience account to take advantage of the full suite of tools offered as part of the innovative MyMagic+ technology. You can access My Disney Experience on the Walt Disney World Resort website (at the far right of the toolbar on the homepage) or by downloading the free My Disney Experience app for your tablet or smartphone.

I've also included a link to informative Disney MagicBand FAQs which will provide you with more details on the new wristbands.

Cheers to you, and have a magical Disney Day!
