Hi! Could we get to the Contemporary Hotel and walk to Magic Kingdom even though we aren't guests? Looking to avoid the long monorail queues on our upcoming holiday. Thank you! Emma

    Hi Emma!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Anyone is welcome to visit the Disney Resort hotels, even if you are not a Guest staying there.  If we have a dining reservation - and there are some good choices at Disney's Contemporary Resort, such as California Grill, The Wave and Chef Mickey's - we can park there, free of charge, for around 3 hours.  If you are driving, you can park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot, take the parking tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center, from where you will make your way to Disney's Contemporary Resort by using the Resort Monorail (which is not on the same loop as the Magic Kingdom Express Monorail).  Then you can walk to Magic Kingdom Park.  On your return you can simply take the monorail or the ferry boat back to the parking lot.  If I wanted to avoid the monorail queues entirely, I would walk to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort from the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then take the short boat ride across Seven Seas Lagoon to Magic Kingdom Park.   If you are not driving, and are staying at another Disney Resort hotel, there is a complimentary bus service from every hotel to Magic Kingdom Park.
