Hi! Considering a day trip in May to Disney with 3yo and 1yo. Should we plan to visit just one of the parks and if so which would you recommend? Thanks!

    Hi Kelly!

Your question is always one of the hardest to answer as visiting both of the great Disneyland parks is a must at some time. The Disneyland Park is the original and nothing can top being the first with so much tradition and history surrounding the entire place. But the newer Grand California Adventure Park is spectacular and has one of the most highly loved areas called Cars Land.

Knowing the age of your children and if you had time to enjoy only one park I would choose the Disneyland Park for your trip. The list of Attractions for the younger children is quite long. Fantasyland is where all young kids can believe in magic in so many different ways. I would rather spend one long day in this park with my young grandchildren and accomplish as much as i can there versus rushing through to be able to do the two parks in one day. You will want to take time to see the parades and enjoy the fireworks at night if you can last that long.

There is nothing like the Magic of Disney in the Disneyland Park. Walking where the footsteps of Walt once walked is enough to make this a destination I need to do as much as possible even though I live half way across the country! Enjoy your Disney adventure!
