Hi Heather! I love taking photos at Walt Disney World!
I haven't bought a PhotoPass Photo CD (PPCD) YET, next time I'm definitely purchasing. While the Photographers are not Pros, their expertise in shots makes a difference. Disney sets a high standard that the photographers have to meet so a great majority of the photos will be different views or angles you haven't thought of and high quality. You'll also be in all of the photos and there's no limit to the number taken!
If you follow this link to the PhotoPass website, you can pre-order a PPCD at a reduced rate. How does PhotoPass work? When you take a photo at a PhotoPass location, you'll be provided with a PhotoPass card. Water Parks have smaller cards with rubber bands to strap to your wrist. I strapped them to my camera and when we'd get our photo taken the PhotoPass Photographer would scan the card then take a photo with my camera. Can't find a card in your bag or pocket? Just get a new one. Advice: take pictures of your PhotoPass ID numbers with your cell or write them down just in case you loose the card. The number is all you need to retrieve your photos on the PhotoPass website.
Upon arriving home you'll have 30 days to make adjustments to your photos. There are so many different borders and extra options that you'll spend hours making new memories with your photos. You may even find a new friend in a few shots. Once you are done with all of the changes to the photos, you can order the CD and use your pre-purchase credit. There is an additional shipping and handling fee based on your location. When you receive the PhotoPass CD, Disney will give you a license that allows you to print the pictures wherever and whenever you please.
I hope this information helps and if you have any other questions just let us know! I hope you and your family have a Magical time at the Walt Disney World Resort!
