Hi there, Katelyn!
Thanks for stopping by the planDisney Panel. As fellow Disney Parks Guests, like you, it’s our pleasure to pass on our advice, tips, and recommendations as you plan your Disney holiday experience.
If you happen to be familiar with the Family and Friends lists at the Walt Disney World Resort, you may have determined that things operate a little differently at the Disneyland Resort. At the Disneyland Resort, Guest names are linked to
Disney eTickets at the time the tickets are purchased
online or when you link your previously-purchased ticket to your Disneyland Resort account. Once the name is set, there is no way to update the name yourself online or in the
Disneyland mobile app. If you would like to update the name on your ticket, you may reach out to a Cast Member on the
Tickets phone line.
Since you are visiting the Disneyland Resort from overseas, I understand that placing a phone call to the United States may be somewhat inconvenient and/or costly. As a workaround, you may consider simply leaving the old name in place. Cast Members who help you activate your tickets at the Disneyland Resort theme park entrances won’t require the name linked to a ticket to match the Guest who is using it. The photo taken of the Guest who first uses the ticket will be linked to the ticket. The photo will serve as a faster way to verify a ticket user from that point on.
Tony’s Tip: Each Guest who visits either
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park must have both a valid theme park ticket and a
theme park reservation. Be sure you book theme park reservations for each of your tickets before you arrive at the Disneyland Resort. You can do so from the "
My Theme Park Reservations" page of the Disneyland Resort website.
I hope you have a magical visit to The Happiest Place on Earth, Katelyn!
