Hi!bringing my parents on their first Disney trip in April! (Along with my dh, 2dd, 1ds). I want to give them one evening to themselves while there. Any recommendations on a special place to make reservations for dinner and something to do? only in 50's!

    Hello Mandi!
As a "nana" in her 50's I can tell you that your parents will be thrilled to be joining you on this magical trip. For this type of evening, I suggest you let your budget be your guide. If money is no object, I would suggest reservations at Victoria & Albert's. Considered one of the finest dining establishments in the entire Southeast, your parents would enjoy a meal they would never forget. For a truly over-the-top experience, you could try to obtain the coveted Chef's Table.  At the Chef's Table your parents would enjoy a customized menu served at a front row seat to the action in the kitchen of this 5 star dining experience.

Another option would be an evening at Disney's Contemporary Resort dining at the California Grill. I once shared a meal here with friends and it is one of my most treasured memories! This absolutely wonderful dining experience can be topped off with one of the best view of Wishes on property. Sitting atop Disney's Contemporary Resort, the California Grill has an observation deck overlooking the Magic Kingdom and your parents can enjoy the view only available to those that dine at the California Grill.

My last suggestion to consider is an evening on Disney's BoardWalk. I would start the evening off with dinner at the Flying Fish Café which boasts great seafood and an onstage kitchen. The atmosphere is fun and lively. After dinner, they can head down the BoardWalk to Jellyrolls and sing along with dueling pianos at this fun filled piano bar.

No matter what you choose, your parents will no doubt have a great time!
