Hi Are there any early closures to the parks in May due to private events? Thanks

Hey Howdy Hey Liz and welcome to planDisney!

May is such a great time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, as this month has great weather, lower rain chances and, depending on if you go earlier in the month, slightly lower crowds due to schools here in the states finishing up. You still get the benefits of things such as EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival while Disney gets geared up for the vacation season in early summer. May is one of our favorite times to visit Walt Disney World as a family and have done so many times. One thing that we have found in our experience, is park hours may change.

Park Hours in Walt Disney World can change without a whole lot of notice, so I would make sure to keep track of them for the dates you are planning for your trip. As of right now, it looks like Magic Kingdom is closing early on Tuesday, May 3rd at 4:30 p.m. but other than that looks like all the other parks and days are open all day. Just make sure to keep an eye on the park hours as the days get closer to your date of travel as these may change.

Good luck with your continued planning for your upcoming trip. We cannot wait to welcome you to the Most Magical Place on Earth real soon!

    Happy planning,

    Nick
