Hi! Are their CSU faculty discounts for a half day ticket? I teach at CSU Sonoma & I’m visiting Anaheim 3/21/23 Thx!

    Hi there, Margaret!

I’m always looking for ways to save on Disneyland Resort vacations for my family too. After all, the more we save, the more often we get to visit The Happiest Place on Earth!

You can find the current offers and discounts available directly from the Disneyland Resort on their website. Currently, the only ticket offers specifically for members of a given organization are for eligible members of the U.S. Military. Or if you live within ZIP codes 90000-93599 or Northern Baja California postal codes 21000-22999, you are eligible for the Southern California resident weekday ticket offer. If those don’t happen to apply to you, don’t give up yet! I’m sure there are still savings to be found.

I have found that various at-work perks or benefits providers offer discounts on travel purchases, including hotels, rental cars, and theme park tickets. For example, the benefits provider at the company I work for happens to offer tickets to the Disneyland Resort that are discounted anywhere from 5% to 9%. Those are terrific savings! To access those discounts, I follow the links provided by my company’s benefits provider to purchase tickets through their online portal. Then, I can link tickets purchased through them to my Disneyland Resort account to book the necessary theme park reservations. I recommend reaching out to your local benefits administrator or Human Resources representative to find out if your place of employment offers similar perks.

Tony’s Tip: If your employer doesn’t participate in a program that offers discounted Disneyland Resort theme park tickets, you could try my favorite do-it-yourself discount hack. To save money on our Disneyland Resort vacations, I like to purchase Disney Gift Cards. I can usually find them at our local warehouse club at discount prices. I’ve even found some retailers or supermarkets that offer discounted gift cards, especially when we use their in-store credit card or loyalty programs. Once I have collected enough gift cards, I use my account on the Disney Gift Card website to combine multiple cards so that I can more easily make theme park ticket purchases.

I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Margaret!
