Howdy, Sheryl!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
I’m happy to let you know that bringing your own bicycles to
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is not only just a fantastic idea, but also totally allowed and encouraged! Fort Wilderness is very bike-friendly, offering plenty of trails and pathways for you to enjoy. Exploring Fort Wilderness on a bike is a wonderful way to add a bit of adventure (and exercise!) to your stay.
There are bike racks located at various spots throughout the resort, including at the bus depots, and at the Marina. This makes it convenient for you to park your bike and hop on a bus or watercraft to other areas of Walt Disney World. From the Marina,
Magic Kingdom Park is only a quick boat ride away! I encourage you to bring a lock for your bike if you’re planning to be away from it for an extended period of time.
Tips for biking at Fort Wilderness: Always wear a helmet, ensure your bike has lights if you plan to ride after dark, stick to designated bike paths, and be mindful of pedestrians. You might want to put something on the handlebars to easily be able to spot yours among the other bikes – maybe a bright ribbon or a nametag.
During your stay at Fort Wilderness, I hope you’ll make time to check out
Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long! Everyone’s favorite chipmunks host an evening of s’mores, music, and a classic Disney movie under the stars. It’s a great way to unwind after a day at the theme parks!
Whether you’re taking a leisurely bike ride, roasting marshmallows with Chip ‘N’ Dale, or exploring the resort’s various activities, every day can bring a new adventure. So, pack your sense of wonder and readiness to explore, because as Carl Fredricksen said in
Up - "Adventure is out there!"
