Hi, A lot of the waterslides at the water parks say Any Height. Does this mean toddlers are able to go down them with an adult?

    Hiya, Brooke! Welcome to planDisney!

Your summer trip to Walt Disney World will be here before you know it, and what better way to beat the Florida heat than a trip to a water park? Based on the dates you’ve provided, you’ll be able to visit Typhoon Lagoon, which re-opens to guests starting May 1, 2025. So let’s dive in and get you the answer you're looking for!

There are a lot of great options for toddlers at Typhoon Lagoon, but with the exception of a few multi-rider tube slides, all guests are required to go down slides one at a time with their feet forward. If you or your toddler are nervous, there are complimentary life jackets around the park, as well as top-notch lifeguards monitoring each attraction.

Not only are there attractions with no height requirements, but Typhoon Lagoon has attractions specifically for young kids. The Bay Slides have a height restriction of 60 inches or under, and they end in a shallow corner of the Lagoon Splash Pool. While parents can’t ride these slides with their kiddos, they can easily walk around and meet them at the bottom. There’s also Ketchakiddee Creek, which is for kids 48” inches and under. This aquatic playground has mini water slides, fountains, and a waterfall perfect for little ones. There is also Gangplank Falls and Miss Adventure Falls, where guests ride down slides together in large inner tubes. These two attractions are listed as all ages and any height.

Whether you’re visiting Typhoon Lagoon or any other Walt Disney World theme park, remember that you can search and filter attractions based on height requirements, ages, and thrill level on the My Disney Experience mobile app. Open up the app’s map (the pin icon along the bottom of the screen), select “Attractions” near the top of the screen, and a series of filters should appear. Select your criteria—preschoolers or slow rides for example—and you’ll get a list of attractions right for you and your crew.

Brooke, I hope you have a splash-tastic time at Typhoon Lagoon this summer. If you have any other Disney vacation planning questions, feel free to swim right back to planDisney and ask away!

    Kowabunga! And Magical travels!
