Heyyyyyy! So I made a reservation at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for my daughter (Yaaaaaayyyyyy so freakin’ excited!). My daughter is biracial and has coily hair. I’m just wondering if that possess a problem when it comes to her princess makeover. Thanks in

    Hiya Cristina,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question about Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. First of all, how exciting that you were able to secure a reservation! That magical makeover truly is an experience fit for a princess. When my daughters had their transformations, they felt like they had stepped right into their own fairy tale. The sparkle in their eyes was such a core memory that I’ll treasure forever.

Now, let’s dive into your question. You’ll be glad to know that the Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices are wonderfully skilled with all different hair types. Speaking from my own experience as a mom of two girls with very curly, textured hair, the apprentices worked their magic with such ease. There’s no need to worry; your daughter is in for a truly enchanting transformation.

Here’s another royal tip: don’t forget to add Memory Maker to your package. Throughout the entire makeover, a Disney PhotoPass Photographer will be there to capture every magical moment—like the instant your little one sees herself as royalty for the first time. Afterward, you can even head over to Sir Mickey’s for a special photo session. My daughters loved striking poses with props that matched their characters—my oldest, dressed as Belle, posed with a book and a rose, while my youngest, channeling her inner Isabella from Encanto, posed with flowers. It felt like they were living in their very own storybook.

Since you’ll be visiting during spooky season, this is also the perfect time to capture extra magic shots around the parks—your princess might even find herself in photos sprinkled with pixie dust, pumpkins, or a little bit of “Boo to You” magic!

Cristina, I hope this helps answer your question. If you think of anything else, please don't hesitate to stop by again.

    See ya real soon,

    Christina
