Hey there! Is there a pirate night scheduled for the Disney fantasy cruise leaving 5/31/25 from Barcelona to Rome?

    Ahoy there, Brianne!

Welcome aboard planDisney! A Mediterranean voyage on the Fantasy? That’s what I call a dream come true on the high seas! Spain, France, Italy… and a floating castle to take you there? Now that is my kind of fairytale! I can only imagine how excited your crew must be with the countdown getting shorter than Captain Hook’s temper.

Let’s talk about your entertainment line-up—and more importantly, whether you’ll need to pack your pirate gear. While entertainment is always subject to change (Disney likes to keep a little magic up its sleeve), here's the current treasure map of themed nights for your 7-night Mediterranean sailing:

Day 3 (at sea) – This is your Formal Night, when it’s time to step into your glass slippers or dashing dinner jackets. Be on the lookout in your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the Captain’s Welcome Reception (if offered)—a fan-favorite moment complete with complimentary cocktails, sparkling smiles, and characters dressed to the nines. It’s the perfect evening for magical memories and maybe a family photo or two that’ll be frame-worthy back home!

Day 4 (Genoa, Italy) – Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for thee! This is your Pirate Night, and yes—it is scheduled! So bring those swashbuckling outfits, eye patches, and your best Jack Sparrow swagger. From pirate-themed activities throughout the day to a hearty dinner menu full of fun and flair, this night is always a blast. I personally never skip dessert on Pirate Night—Bananas in Paradise is my go-to treat that I like to think even Stitch would approve of (it’s bananas, and he does love chaos).

Later in the evening, set your sights on the upper decks for the Pirate Deck Party—an epic celebration under the stars. Due to local laws and regulations, there won't be fireworks at sea during your itinerary, but fear not! The entertainment team still delivers a night that’s worth singing a sea shanty about.

Day 5 (Livorno) – Don’t hang up your dancing shoes just yet! Keep an eye on your app for Mickey’s Color Spin Dance Party. This lively celebration is bursting with music, color, and energy—and while I don’t want to spoil too much, I’ll just say it’s a dazzling twist on the kind of joy only Mickey and friends can deliver.

Day 7 (Naples) – Time for a little more pixie dust with your Semi-Formal Night. Whether you go full Prince Charming or opt for something a little more relaxed, it’s your story to write. I love seeing how different families interpret each themed night—some go all out, others keep it cruise casual. The best part? There’s no wrong way to do it. You’re already on the Fantasy, after all!

Brianne, I’m wishing you a magical journey packed with incredible ports, themed nights to remember, and maybe even a soft-serve swirl or two along the way. Don’t forget to pack those themed outfits!

Sea ya real soon as May brings sunshine, magical ports, and maybe a Mickey bar or two,
    Dustin
