Hi Angela!
Well I must qualify in the Family of Odd, because I went to Disney in December 2009, rented a double stroller, and in the double stroller was my 2 year old and...6 year old! You'll be surprised at how many parents have traditionally older kids sitting right in strollers at the Parks. We got one because we knew our daughter (the 6 year old) will be looking to take her nap sometime in the afternoon at the parks, and this provided a good place for her to relax. You should be fine. Now if the kid is in junior high or is already growing a beard...maybe not (smile)!
Good luck on your trip!
