hey, I'm trying to find out what restaurants will have an altered menu for christmas day. what are the chances that artist point will have christmas dinner? should we reserve now for it? thanks

    Hi there, Peter!

Typically, Artist Point in Disney's Wilderness Lodge is open for Christmas dining, but does not offer a special Christmas menu.

The Disney Food Blog, a very well-respected fan site (not immediately affiliated with Walt Disney World) provides a great breakdown of Christmas dining-related events at the World:  http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2010/08/12/dining-planning-for-christmas-in-disney/

In 2011, the choices were as follows (courtesy of About.com):

Liberty Tree Tavern (Magic Kingdom): This location offers a Christmas menu for lunch and dinner on the big day.
Biergarten (Germany Pavilion, Epcot): Celebrate the season with a hearty brew and sample the Christmas menu at dinner or lunch in Germany.
Tutto Italia (Italy Pavilion, Epcot): Get a Christmas meal with authentic Italian flair for either lunch or dinner at this location.
50's Prime Time Cafe (Disney's Hollywood Studios): Go back in time and let Mom dish up a helping of Christmas cheer for dinner.
Hollywood & Vine (Disney's Hollywood Studios): Enjoy a fun-filled Christmas lunch with your favorite Playhouse Disney characters at this location.
Tusker House (Disney's Animal Kingdom): Character dining plus Christmas cheer await you at this African-themed buffet dinner location.

Disney will typically announce its special holiday menus closer to December, so do be on the lookout.

Using history as a predictor, you will certainly want to make your dining reservations as early as possible -- remember, you can make reservations 180 days prior to the start of your Walt Disney World vacation by calling (407) WDW-DINE or by using the online system.

    Have a wonderful trip!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
