Hi Ky’Andrea,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I love that you're thinking ahead and making sure all your magical travel plans are lined up just right, because there’s nothing like walking into Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park bright and early, ready for adventure.
Ky’Andrea, while the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) is
the main parking hub for Magic Kingdom, it’s not the best spot if you’re planning to spend the day at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Here’s the good news: you can park directly at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, even if you’re not staying at a Disney Resort hotel. In fact, that’s exactly what most Guests do when visiting that park.
When you arrive at the toll plaza, just let the friendly Cast Members know you’re headed to Animal Kingdom, and they’ll guide you in. Standard parking is included if you’re an Annual Passholder and available for a daily fee otherwise. From the parking lot, it’s just a quick tram ride or short walk to the front entrance, which is much more convenient than trying to travel over from the TTC.
As for the TTC opening an hour before Magic Kingdom Park, that timing is mainly to accommodate Guests parking for that specific park and using the monorail or ferry to get to the gates. Since the TTC doesn’t offer transportation to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, parking there won’t quite get you where you need to go.
So my advice is to head straight to Animal Kingdom Park that morning, grab a Joffrey’s coffee near the entrance, and make your way to
Pandora – The World of Avatar to start your day with some early-morning magic. Floating mountains, Flight of Passage, and all that breathtaking beauty make it the perfect way to kick things off.
Wishing you a wild and wonderful day filled with magic, memories, and maybe a few Mickey pretzels.
See ya real soon,
Emille
