Hey,Emma, do you have any tips on transportation?

    Hi Jorja,

Travelling around Walt Disney World using Disney's complimentary transportation system can seem daunting at first but let me assure you that it is a very convenient and easy way to get around.

The main thing to remember is that you cannot travel directly from one Resort hotel to another. In order to do this, you have to go via one of the Theme Parks, Water Parks or Downtown Disney.

Complimentary transportation is available one hour prior to Theme Park opening time up to one hour after Theme Park closing time. Additionally, buses operate until 2:00 a.m. from the Downtown Disney Area.

If you have any early morning dining reservations, don't worry as Disney are aware that many Guests make dining reservations for breakfast at restaurants located in the Parks and Resorts prior to Theme Park opening times and rest assured that there will be buses running early enough to get you there in time.

As a guide, I would recommend that you allow at least an hour when travelling from one place to another at Walt Disney World.

I would also definitely suggest that you plan ahead and familiarise yourself with the different methods of transportation available to and from each location prior to your visit. There is a great transportation wizard tool which I like to use available at www.ourlaughingplace.com which allows you to enter where you will be travelling to and from within Walt Disney World and then provides details on the best route(s) to take as well as giving an indication of the amount of time that the journey will take.

When using this tool, I would also add an extra 20 minutes onto each estimated time to allow for the time which may be spent waiting for your designated mode of transport to arrive.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
