Royal greetings, Lisa-Marie, and welcome to
planDisney!
I’m so excited for you and your family to visit during the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort! You’re going to make so many magical memories together. As the mom of a princess myself, I can relate to your daughter’s desire to see the Disney Princesses! That's always my daughter’s first mission, too. I’m happy to report that the
Meet Disney Princesses at Royal Hall experience is currently open, but it has specific hours that it’s open throughout the day. So, there’s a chance that you checked the Disneyland app at a time when the experience was closed. For example, I just checked the Disneyland app, and it showed that Royal Hall will be open for Princess meet-and-greets today between the hours of 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and then again from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This timing can vary, so be sure to check the Disneyland app on your arrival day.
Once inside, your daughter will have the chance to meet with three different Princesses inside a royal castle setting. The Princesses rotate throughout the day, so you can always ask a Cast Member which Princesses are currently awaiting royal visits when you enter the queue. This is one of my daughter’s favorite meet-and-greets, since you really get valuable one-on-one time with each Princess. Just make sure you plan to do this experience earlier in the day, so you don’t risk missing out!
In addition, your daughter won’t want to miss
Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome in Disney California Adventure Park! This is another one of my daughter’s favorite meet-and-greets! Warm hugs with these two are so special. You’ll also want to make sure you head to this experience earlier in the day, since it shows the current hours as 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, though this is subject to change.
You may also want to check out
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, a royal Character Dining experience at Napa Rose, located inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, which is adjacent to Disney California Adventure Park. This experience includes an unforgettable 3-course breakfast, along with special encounters with favorite Disney Princesses. This event also fills up quickly, but it doesn’t hurt to check for any last-minute reservations.
Last but not least, I recommend looking for a reservation for your daughter at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, which offers magical makeovers for royalty-in-training. Reservations can be hard to get, so if you aren’t able to find one, I recommend continuing to check as your trip gets closer, especially the day before. If you aren’t able to find a reservation before you arrive, I recommend heading straight to the Boutique upon arriving in Disneyland Park to ask if there are any cancellations or open spots that day. If for some reason it doesn’t work out, you can always ask a Fairy Godmother-in-training or a Coachman at the shop for a sprinkling of pixie dust for your little princess to add some magic to her day!
I hope this information helps you with your pixie-dusted plans, Lisa-Marie! Please stop back with any additional questions… we’re all EARs!
Wishing you merry magic,
Kristin
