Hey I was wondering, why is that you can buy tickets for Disneyland in July but there is still no set date of reopening? I was really playing on going on July 12 but should I even buy the tickets if we don’t know when it’ll reopen?

    Hello Christian!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad to see that you have found us here!

Summer is right around the corner and one of the best times to visit the Happiest Place on Earth! For my family, Splash Mountain and Grizzly River Run are at the top of our list for those warm days at the parks. When we’re looking for something to cool us down, the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop is a must for the family!

The Disneyland Resort is working hard with State Officials on a reopening plan. Rest assured that when an opening date is announced, you’ll hear it first from the Disney Parks Blog. Part of the reopening plan at Walt Disney World is to give those guests who have already purchased tickets priority into making a reservation to enter the parks. We could see a similar  plan at the Disneyland Resort. If you’re set on going I would purchase your ticket now as it may give you an advantage once the parks open. You can still purchase tickets now because if the parks are not open on July 12th then you can use them at a later date. If the date you reschedule to use your ticket falls on a higher tiered day, then you would just pay the difference in price. It’s hard to know when the parks will reopen and buying your ticket now may not give you any advantage for when they do, but it won’t hurt anything either and you’ll be ready to go.

Well Christian, I hope this information was useful for you and if you think of anything else please come back and let us know.

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
