Hi there, Maria - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists. We love helping Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical,
Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
I have to say, I'm quite jealous that you have a trip to visit Mickey scheduled in just a few short days! Maria, I have some great news for you if you were hoping to see some of the beautiful winter holiday decorations during your trip - the transformation has already begun!
The very first night of
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party takes place next week, and that means that
Magic Kingdom Park will be decked out in its finest holiday decor for the occasion. Whether you're attending one of the parties or not, you'll still enjoy the beautiful decorations, fun holiday snacks, and exciting holiday shopping!
We all know that Magic Kingdom Park, while iconic, is only one of four magical Theme Parks, and that there is so much more to experience at the Walt Disney World Resort including
Disney Springs, the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels,
Water Parks, and so much more. While it may seem like things change from Halloween to Ho Ho Ho overnight, it usually takes a few weeks for
all of the holiday magic to be finalized across the entire Walt Disney World Resort. So, while I know for a fact you're going to see Magic Kingdom Park in all its holiday glory next week, there may be other places where the wintery pixie dust hasn't quite landed yet.
If you want to learn more about how the Imagineers and Cast Members make the transition, I encourage you to check out the one-hour
Decorating Disney: Holiday Magic special available on Disney+. I always like to rewatch it just before my holiday visit to the parks. Knowing all of the magic (also known as really hard work) that goes into the holiday transformation helps me appreciate it even more when I'm in the parks!
I wish you a magical holiday experience next week, Maria!
Please stop by again whenever a question pops up.
