Hi Christine,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question.
One of the biggest factors in our choice of Disney Resort Hotel is undoubtedly the pool, so I completely understand why you’d ask that question. We typically have a tough time deciding as a family, too!
You’re absolutely right that, typically, “pool hopping” between Disney Resort Hotels isn’t allowed. As you point out, one of the exceptions to that rule are for Guests staying at
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. You’ll be happy to know that “pool hopping” is also allowed between
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort,
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort for Guests who have chosen to stay at one of those Resorts.
Please note, however, that these three Resorts are pretty big, so you may have to cover lots of ground in your quest to find the perfect place to splash the day away. Your Resort’s
Lobby Concierge might be able to suggest shortcuts or other transportation options, should you wish to cut down a bit on your travel time.
I hope my answer helps your family consider all of its potential accommodation options for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
