Hi Shawna,
I am a big fan of Disney's PhotoPass & often pre-purchase the PhotoCD before my trip. Its a great way to save money & know I'm going to get some awesome shots of the whole family from our trip.
The PhotoCD contains the separate photos and allows you to print your own. Images will be in .jpg format and are high resolution (300 dpi) so that you can obtain high-quality prints.
When you return from your trip & upload your PhotoPass Cards, be sure to play around with the editing, signature & border options before you purchase the CD. You can maintain the original print & come up with some really cute edited photos as well. On my last trip, I got an awesome shot of my oldest son with his favorite princess Cinderella - yes - boys love the princesses too. At the bottom I chose the "Just Engaged" border. So cute!
Be sure to review all of the images in your account and make any edits to your photos prior to purchasing your PhotoCD to ensure your photos include the borders and signatures you desire. The price of the PhotoCD is the same regardless of the number of Disney's PhotoPass photos in your account.
I would recommend pre-ordering the PhotoCD. If you go to
www.MouseSavers.com, there is a link for $50.00 off if you pre-order the PhotoCD prior to your trip. That's a big savings!
The only CON I would possibly see is if you are only visiting a park one day during your trip. You may not get as many photos as you would when visiting multiple days.
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
