Gerardo from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hey I just wanted to know if to go to Disneyland after dark sweethearts night I need special tickets or something like that or if I can just buy regular tickets for February 14-15 and will be able to get in?

    Hiya, Gerardo!

Thank you very much for sending this Disneyland Resort planning question to us hEAR at planDisney!

Oh boy! I love that you're already thinking ahead to next yEAR and are dreaming about this lovely evening! Yes, all 'Disneyland After Dark' and Holiday Party events require a separate 'special event' ticket to gain admission for the activities during that event's time frame. Last yEAR these tickets went on sale in early December and sold out within the first day or two of being available. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears to the Disney Parks Blog so you'll get the heads up on both the event details plus the date the tickets go on sale. You can even follow them across all of your social media channels so you're sure to never miss a beat!

You're more than welcome to still visit Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park during the daytime on the same date as these offerings, Gerardo. But note that the theme park hosting the separately ticketed event will distribute wristbands to those with event tickets and will close to day guests promptly at the start of the event, which is usually 6:00 P.M.

Even if you don't end up buying a pair of tickets to SweethEARts Nite, there will still be so many cute photo opportunities and sweet treats. And don't forget about ways to celebrate in the Downtown Disney District!

I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Gerardo, and helped to better plan your Disney day! Be sure to follow the official planDisney Panel Instagram Account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort planning questions, We're All Ears!
