Hey, I just wanted to ask like how many days prior should I book my tickets or like can we book tickets on the same day

Namaste, Sat Sri Akaal, and Good Day, Yuvraj! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for visiting us. How exciting that you’re planning a visit from Chandigarh to Anaheim! I am of Punjabi descent myself and have many relatives in India who have visited the Happiest Place on Earth with me over the years. It’s a small world after all.

Yuvraj, particularly during the summer months, it can be very busy at Disneyland Resort. As soon as you know your exact dates, you’ll want to check the reservation availability calendar, as each Guest needs both a valid theme park ticket and park reservation for each day they’d like to visit the parks.

You can purchase tickets and make reservations at the same time. Here are the steps:

~ Go to the Disneyland Resort website
~ Click on Parks & Tickets, then Theme Park Tickets
~ Select the number of days, then the number of tickets
~ Select the ticket type (One Park Per Day or Park Hopper)
~ Click “Choose Your Dates” and you'll be taken to the reservation calendar to select your desired date(s)

Continue following the process to complete the ticket purchase and park reservations.

Though you can purchase tickets at Disneyland Resort once you arrive, I don’t recommend it, as there’s a good chance there won’t be any reservations available, especially during summer. I recommend getting your tickets and reservations sorted in advance.

Here are a few other tips that may be useful:
~ Download the Disneyland mobile app, as it will be handy when you’re at the parks, to place mobile orders for food, check wait times for attractions, check the entertainment schedule, and reserve Lightning Lanes for Disney Genie+.

~ That brings me to my next tip! Consider purchasing Genie+ to add to your tickets, either at time of purchase, or once you have entered the parks. Genie+ will give you access to Lightning Lanes, which are faster queues which will save you hours of time. This is a great way to experience a lot of attractions in one day. My family and I always get Genie+ and are able to get on all the major attractions.

~ Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance – you can make them within the app. Many of the popular restaurants book up right at 60 days. But no worries, even if you can’t secure a reservation in advance, you can walk up to the host stand at the restaurant and inquire about joining the walk-up list. The Disneyland Resort website has menus for all the restaurants on their website, which is helpful if you’re trying to find menu items that suit your travel party. (Personally, I am vegetarian and can attest that there are lots of delicious items available all over Disneyland Resort – you can speak to a Cast Member for any dietary needs or preferences!)

I hope this information is helpful, Yuvraj. Wishing you a most magical vacation!

    Dhanyawad!
