Welcome to planDisney, Melissa!
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is truly the most wonderful event of the year. The merry music, festive decorations, and the spectacular Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A all add to the special atmosphere. I love seeing all the Christmas-themed outfits that people wear. One of my favorite things is that the crowds are lower than a regular theme park day! That means Guests are able to enjoy more attractions without having to wait as long in line. Some attractions are even decked out for the Holidays, such as “Tomorrowland Speedway Race Through the Holidays,” "Space Mountain – Holiday Run!," and “Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Holiday Show.” However, my personal favorite is the Jingle Cruise!
But here's the thing, Melissa: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event that requires a separate ticket. On December 6, Magic Kingdom Park will close at 6:00 PM for regular Guests. Therefore, if you don't have a ticket for the party, you'll have to leave. Unfortunately, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is sold out on December 6. (As I type these words, there are still tickets available for December 11, 13, and 15).
I know that might not be the news you want to hear, Melissa. But all is not lost! This might be a great opportunity to head back to your Disney Resort for a relaxing evening. Or, if you have the
Park Hopper Option, visit another theme park.
Let me recommend experiencing the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Last Christmas, I really enjoyed walking around World Showcase, visiting all the
Holiday Kitchens, and trying some delicious food. Also, the
Candlelight Processional will leave you in awe!
I hope you have a great trip, Melissa! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney.
Mike
