Hey there! My wife and I are planning on doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour on our next trip. We are also wanting to try to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Is that possible on the same day? Thanks for your wisdom and insight! -Aaron

    Hi Aaron,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! How exciting, Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour will be an amazing way to experience Magic Kingdom in a brand new way!

At this time, there are a few ways to enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. The first is by joining the virtual queue! Guests who have a Disney Park Pass reservation for EPCOT will have the opportunity to join the virtual queue at 7:00 a.m. from anywhere and 1:00 p.m. from inside EPCOT. Since you need a Disney Park Pass for Magic Kingdom the day of your tour, unfortunately, the virtual queue wouldn’t be an option for you that day. It might be better to go to EPCOT another day.

Now, on days when there are Extended Evening Theme Park Hours for EPCOT, if you are staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort or other select hotels, you’d be able to join a bonus virtual queue at 6:00 p.m. You would need a Park Hopper ticket so you can park hop over to EPCOT, but you can join this virtual queue from anywhere! Remember this option is only for specific resorts and on days when EPCOT has extended hours, but if you fall into this category, this would be a great option for you!

Your final option would be to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane. If you’re staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel or a few other hotels on Disney World property, at 7:00 a.m. you’ll be able to purchase two Individual Lightning Lane for the ride (subject to availability). If you decide to purchase, definitely choose a time later in the day. Since you’ll be on the tour all morning and you’ll have to wait until 2 p.m. to Park Hop, you’ll want to aim for a time in the mid to late afternoon so you’ll be able to get to EPCOT!

I know that was a ton of information, but I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your September vacation. If you have any other planning or vacation questions, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
