Hey team,28 days from first visit. Need advise please We have FP to Lion King 6pm and dinner pass to ROL 7pm. I wanted to know how I can get my2 year old in the lion king show Ending playing a shaker instrument and then exit to get to ROL by 640.

    Hi Dave,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are planning a perfect visit for your little one!

First, be sure to double check the start time of the Rivers of Light: We Are One show for the date of your visit. We enjoyed this show with the Rivers of Light: We Are One Dining Package on our most recent visit. It sounds as if you also are doing a dining package!

During our dining experience, the Cast Member who served us gave us our reserved seating access vouchers. We used those when we returned to enter the amphitheater. Our vouchers recommended arriving at least 15 minutes prior to show time. Even though you have access to the reserved seating, you will still want to have a good choice of seats in that area.

Now, to your question about the Festival of the Lion King show. When we took our girls on their first visit, they were 5-years old. The characters, the music and the acrobats mesmerized them. Towards the end of the show, a dancer approached the girls and asked them to come join her. They stared back at her, terrified. It took a few intense minutes to convince them to join. Thankfully, they joined, had the best time and were so proud of themselves. We happened to be sitting on the end of a row, right near one of the entrances for the performers in the show. So, during the entire show, the dancers and other characters waved at the girls. It was a magical spot that we happened upon by chance. My only suggestion to you would be to try to find a seat on the end of a row and closer to the floor where the performers are.

The show is AMAZING. However, I am not sure how willing a 2-year old would be to jump in the midst of the action. Since the show's running time is listed as 30 minutes, I believe you will have just enough time to get to your reserved seating for Rivers of Light: We Are One. Be sure to identify the entrance location for dining package seating before heading over to the amphitheater so that you can plan the quickest route. In truth, I would suggest that you try to modify that Fast Pass+ selection for the Festival of the Lion King show to an earlier time if possible. With a little one, you may need more travel time and you would have a better selection of seats for the Rivers of Light: We Are One show if you arrive 30 minutes prior to the show!

Dave, I am sending your little one endless courage!
